Collapse, pale or white gums, weak or not ausculated heartbeat is evidence of cardiac decompensation. Measures of the first aid in this case are the following:


  • Find heartbeat or pulse. Push on the gums and check if the puhsed place is filling with the blood after your taking away the finger;
  • If the filling takes place, heart continues to beat. Do the artificial respiration and go to the vet immediately;
  • If there is a cardiac arrest, breathing stops and brain if the cat doesn't have oxygen during several minutes, your cat is in danger of irreparable consequences, and it is necessary to do the cardiac massage in the combination of artificial respiration and to turn to the banian hospital for the help immediately.
