The hit of the foreign body
Symptoms. Cat rubs the face, chews, shakes her head. Rich sialorrhea, vomiturition, cough, asphyxia.
Your actions. Fix the cat. Open and inspect her mouth, teeth, gums, palate, upper and lower surface of tongue. Remove the foreign subjects with fingers or pincers (fish bones, thorns of plants, threads).
If the cat resists, you can throw the meshs of bandage upon the upper and lower jaws and open the mouth with their help.
After the removing of foreign body, manage the mouth with the weak solution of manganese or furacyline.
Foreign body in the larynx
Symptomps. Sudden attack of the cough, asphyxia, attempts to remove the interfering subjects with the pad.
Your actions. Immediately bring the cat to the vet. If the cat is losing her consciousness, stops to breathe, eyes become dull, gums and tongue become blue, you need to make the first aid by yourself. Lay the cat down on the side (head is lower than body), open the mouth, pull out the tongue, squeeze the neck under the foreifn body and remove it with fingers, pincers. Do the artificial respiration ("mouth to nose") and external cardiac massage.
In the case of failure immediately use the following method: lay the cat down on the side, clasp the back in with one hand and rifflings with another one. Four times squeeze both of hands at the same time in the direction of inside and up (to the head). Check with finger if there is no foreign body in the mouth. Make two exhalations "mouth to nose".
Repeat untill you remove the foreign body.
Foreign body in the stomach
Symptoms. Depression, cat rushes about, boisterous vomit is observed, vomit with blood, pieces of toys, splinters of bones, rich sialorrhea, cat refuses from food.
Your actions. Fix the cat. Pour in the mouth 3-4 tea-spoons of vaseline oil (5-6 table-spoons of vegetable oil). If it doesn't help, you need to go to the vet.
