Persian cats

Persian breed of cats is one of the most popular in the world. Its selection counts more than 110 years, that's why given cats are considered to be the most important for the keeping in city conditions (in the flats).

First representatives of given breed greatly differed with type from modern Persian cats. They had elongated faces and uptuened extremities, but in the process of selection specialists greatly perfected the type of Persian cats.

Persian breed belongs to longhaired group of cats (01). For today two types of Persian breed are distinguished: american (baby face) and european. The common for two types of cats is: presence of compact and proportional body with short and strong extremities, long hair with good developed undercoat, short tail (its tip doesn't come to shoulder joint), and also big, round head with little ears, short and wide nose, big round eyes, well-developed cheeks and strong chin.

The difference between types is good noticed for not only specialists. European type of Persian cats has developed superciliary archs and is divided into classic (lobe of the nose is down), extreme type (the lobe of the nose almost reached to the lower eyelid), extreme (upper edge of the lobe of the nose is raised on the level of middle of pupils). It gives to the type of Persian more concentrated expression, which funnily combine with all constituition. American type of Persian cats has following varieties: british or classicn ( lobe of the nose is down), short open type upper edge of the nose is on the level of lower eyelid), extreme (upper lobe of the nose is on the middle of pupils), piggy (upper lobe of the nose is on the level of upper eyelid), luatic type (upper lobe of the nose came beyond the upper eyelid). All varieties of american type of Persian breed have open wide look of child, that's why it was called baby-face.

Persian breed of cats belongs to the animal of firm constitition of body, they all have strong and wide skeleton, healthy psyche. In spring-summer period they don't disturb with needless shouts their owners, because the reaction of inhibition prevails the reaction of excitement. At the same time they are quisk-witted and smart creatures. For example, little kitten knows how to receive as many attention from his owner as he wants. High intellect of Persian cats bewitches many owners, who begin to go in for the given breed and will never part with it. The great magic of Persian cat consists in it, which found millions of admirers al over the world.
