Persian cat: the history and description of the breed

Persian cat is the breed of longhaired cats. Ther is many vague in the origin of this breed. Obviously, Desert and Asian cats, living on the territory of Near Asia at far times, took part in her coming into being. The history of the breeding of Persian cat in Europe begins since XVI-XVII century, when she was imported in Italy and then in France. The animal got wide spread and popuraity. Persian cat is of medium sizes, thickset. Body is covered with fluffy, silky, soft and long hair, that gives to the animal an exclusively attractive look. The hair forms a luxurious collar 'jabot' around the neck and shoulders. Color can be various. It is distinguish about 90 varieties. It is met black, white, blue, red, cream, lilac. Cats of one color must not have spots or tints, i. e. the color of the whiole body must be equal. The color of the nose's lobe, pads, whiskers, as a rule, corresponds to the basic color.
Head is relatively big, massive, with round, bulging forehead and little, short but wide and slightly pug nose. Cheeks are plump. Whiskers are in the look of long tassels of hair. Chin is strong, jaw is wide, strong. Ears are short, three-cornered, rounded on the tips, wide and low delivered, bended forward, with wisps of long hairs inside helix. Eyes of every breed of Persian cats are very attractive. They amaze with their size and form (big, round, wide placed, expressive). Their color is orange, blue, copper. Cats of definite color have eye color peculiar to them. Body is massive, strong, muscular, pro rata set-up. Nack is short, a little bit fat. Chest is wide and deep. Shoulders, back, waist are strong. Leggs are short, straight, strong, with quite big haired pads. Fingers densely join, there are whisps of long hairs between them. Tail is not long, down to earth, fluffy, with slightly rounded tip. Persian cats with marks on the head, pads and tail are distionguished into separate breed - Color-Point. Persian cat in comparison with other breeds shows the highest level of domestication. She even lost the ability to catch mouses, rats and can't live out of home. She is notable for tender temper and full trust to the human, very calm. Her devotion to the human can be compared with faithfulness of the dog. These peculiarities of character with beautiful appearance make her an 'aristocrat' in the cat family. Persian cat is breeded in many countries of the world. She need an everyday care about hair.
